Our company is specialized in the transformation of bee products, and more precisely in the transformation of propolis. Our bee knowledge is concrete and old for we were beekeepers before creating Apimab Laboratoires. Our 3 lines of business :

Our Story

30 years of development of the production techniques

Apimab Laboratoires' story started in 1978 to Marc-Alain Bernard's initiative, the current Chief Executive, when he was studying at Montpellier University, Arts and Sciences Department.

After seven years of captivating studies, he leaves University and decides to get involved in beekeeping, a fascinating job which involves freedom, initiative and a close relationship with the Nature ; he will have up to 600 ruches and will launch, a few years later, a place dedicated to his passion : the The Salagou Honey Farm in Clermont-l'Hérault (South of France).

Many experimental and documentary researches are carried out by universities and the industrial sector. These researches become more difficult than expected due to the resinous and impure natural consistency of raw propolis. Indeed, raw propolis contains around 40% of impurities (wax, fibre, dead bees, wood splinter and so on). Purification methods on raw Propolis are then experimented and recognized, they finally allow the production of a pure propolis, only containing usable assets.

Thus, the laboratory's first step was to standardize its raw propolis' production and transformation process in order to create different extracts in the form of powder (PPM30, PPM18, PPM14H) or of alcoholic (EALP, EADP) and non alcoholic (EGP) liquid extracts. Patents are pending.

Change of course for the organic products

Since 2007, Apimab Laboratoires has chosen to develop organic and ecological certified products.

Our products, partly resulting from Organic Culture, have been designed to meet the specific requirements of this certification.

Moreover, une strict quality measures ensuring risks analysis and the control of critical points, guarantee a follow-up of products specifications thanks to tight and regular controls organized by independent and national agencies ( ECOCERT, AFSSAPS, DGCCRF)

Nowadays a creator, manufacturer and distributor of propolis

The range of end products is very wide and includes care for the internal and external sphere. We currently offer more than 60 references known under the trademarks Propolia ® and Bee'Nice ®.
